Last month (September 2009), Typhoon Storm Ondoy left a horrible mark in our history. Thousands of people lost their love ones, many are still missing and lost their belongings.

However, this unfortunate event binds us more. People around us who we didn't know donate and share something to the typhoon victims. Even international aid from different countries enter the scene to provide assistance.

The American Chamber of Commerce of the Phils., through the American Chamber Foundation Phils., Inc. just finished its 1st Relief Operation last October 6, 2009 in Brgy. Hagonoy and Brgy. San Miguel both in Taguig City. Five hundred (500) families were able to gain relief goods like rice, can goods, sugars, chocolate drinks, toiletries, clothes, towels and many more. Many thanks to all the company and personal donors that made this relief operation successful.

This coming Friday (October 9, 2009), we at the American Chamber Foundation Phils., Inc. will be having our 2nd Relief Operation probably some areas in Laguna wherein no one was able to provide relief operation yet. We will try to provide more Relief Operation this month of October 2009.

Our foundation is open to any kind of donations - cash or in-kind and to anyone there who wants to volunteer their time to repack relief goods and assist in distribution.
